The Case FOR Spivack

I've focused on the fact that Castle is a rubber stamp for George Bush and some have taken that as proof that I don't support Dennis Spivack.

That is nonsense. If you are a constant reader of Delawareliberal you know that I have constantly pointed out that Spivack is a great Democrat and a great candidate. So don't project delawareliberal's myopia and faults onto Spivack.

Now, I know some liberals want to vote for John F. Kennedy and everyone else sucks. These liberals would allow the quest for the "perfect" to kill off the "good". I'm a little more practical than that. But for anyone who thinks I've been too Anti-Castle and insufficiently pro-Spivack click here, here, here, here and here.

The Bottom Line: Spivack is a Democrat who has run this race to focus the debate on the issues that are important to Delawareans:

In his words: "...health care, homeland security, education, energy, and our economy. We need real reform now, and I intend to deliver a major dose of reality to our leadership in Washington, D.C. when I go there as Delaware's Congressman."

Some people want to focus on personalities. Some think that I've fallen in that trap harping on Castle. I'd say I've been harping on Castle's horrible, terrible, really indefensible record, but everyone is diffferent.

Comments:
"...health care, homeland security, education, energy, and our economy. We need real reform now, and I intend to deliver a major dose of reality to our leadership in Washington, D.C. when I go there as Delaware's Congressman."

Wow, what a brilliant quote. I hope he brings that attitude with him on his way to reform Washington. Bland political rhetoric like that is just what DC is missing.

High comedy all around.

As a fan of Castle I'm not surprised that you are a fan of bland politcal rhetoric.

Anon,

The guy who calls himself tim braxton thinks Castle is some kind of bipartisan hero, so what sounds like empty Castle rhetoric to you and me sounds like the Battle Hymn of the Republic to him.

The In the end Castle will win and we'll have the shit ass representation in Washington we deserve - but it will not be because I was not working hard enough.

Bland political rhetoric sounds the same to me as it does to you. That is why I mocked you for using it as your pro-Spivack material. I guess the rub of running against an incumbent and having next to zero political experience is that bland political rhetoric is all you have to stand on. Hopefully in two years the Delaware Democratic party will endorse a candidate based on something other than the size of his bank account.

I did like the whole "addressing me indirectly by addressing anon" gag, though. It was kind of like how siblings would get in fights on old sit-coms and say things like "mom, since I'm not talking to my brother, will you please tell him to pass the salt?"

Once again, high comedy.

Hopefully in two years the Delaware Democratic party will endorse a candidate based on something other than the size of his bank account.

Hope is for the hopeless. Maybe I'll you at the primary debates. Of course, it is far easier to stay on the sidelines and find comedy in everything.

Yes, that is true. Speaking of which, keep coming with your pro-Spivack material.

Tim,

I don't think Spivack's bank account is looking too pretty these days. And, with a loss inevitable, I think things are going to be looking quite a bit worse...

I'm sorry. I couldn't help but mention that I liked how you provided a grand total of five, count em, five links to your previous pro-Spivack material from the past year. On the other hand you did about 20 columns claiming that Castle was on his deathbed (classy), and 10 columns harrassing Castle's staffers (classier) just in the past couple of weeks. I just don't think that Dennis Spivack is worth it.

Doug I mean Tim,

My columns? Now I get it. Talk about comedy. Trying to get back at me for saying your coverage of Castle suck ass (which it does).

Think what you want. I'm just here calling them like I see them. Just like Mike M. If you think my coverage of Castle sucks ass start your own blog.

You seem to have some time on your hands.

Weird small Delaware-
Spivack lives in the house next door to where I was raised.

Good points. What were we talking about, again? The case FOR Spivack? Something like that?

"Spivack lives in the house next door to where I was raised."

So which asylum did you live next to Nancy?
