Republican “Coalition of the Shilling” in complete disarray

What in life could be better than seeing a bunch of frauds and con artists beat-up and kill each other?

It restored my faith in cosmic justice to read this in today’s NYT:

“In 2004 we really broke our necks to turn out the vote. For the two years since then, I have been extremely disappointed with what Republicans have done with the power they were given.” - Dr. James C. Dobson

“Dobson and his gang of thugs are really nasty bullies. I pray devoutly everyday, but being a Christian is no excuse for being stupid. There is a high demagoguery coefficient to issues like prayer in school. These issues are easy for the intellectually lazy.
- Neoconservative Dick Army

“The principle sin of the neoconservative’s is overbearing arrogance. It is not so much that they have been wrong it is that nobody has ever convinced them that they have ever been wrong. - David Keene, Chairman of the American Conservative Union.
-

The bottom line:
It looks like the huge stinking brown turd know as the republican congressional majority is swirling down the toilet of history.

Yes, we still have a lot of work to do to reform the Democratic Party and so we cannot let up. However, as we work to make this country what destiny has called it to be it is nice to know that we can do that work without having to fight on two fronts. The greedy George Bush-type grifters and Michael Castle style-charlatans and on the right have been exposed for what they are and have made the word “Republican” toxic to a huge segment of voters for years to come. That is a good thing.

Comments:
nice!

Are you capable of writing something without contriving a way to smear Mike Castle's name? If you are going to criticize some random Republicans, that's great. If you are going to criticize Rep. Castle for specific instances in which you feel that he has acted inappropriately as a public servant, that's fine, too. But please don't try to criticize Mike Castle by lumping him together with a bunch of random Republicans. It makes us Dem's look lazy and desperate. Although I usually vote Democrat down the line, Mike Castle has my vote this November because he has shown a genuine compassion for the people of Delaware throughout his political career. His opponent, on the other hand, has yet to give me a good reason to vote for him. I am confident that the Democrats will win a majority in the House without Mr. Spivack. Therefore, I will vote for the person best fit to serve the people of Delaware, Rep. Castle.

Nice to see that you're willing to admit that the Dems need some work too. Good on ya.

Rep. Castle for specific instances in which you feel that he has acted inappropriately as a public servant,

rewad one of my many posts on the topic. Do I have to repeat my indictments every time?

"it makes us Dems look..."

Yeah right. Your a dem. Nice try. The fact of the matter is Castle has bent over for ever Bush scheme that has come along including the war in Iraq. So Castle's "compassion" does not seem to extend to our men and women in uniform who he is stabbing in the back everyday. .

Go piss up a rope.

Joe,

I'm harder on lousy Dems than I am on Republicans so I feel like I'm the first to admit that we have a lot of work to do.

If we decide to use our majority to pursue some kind of Tom Carper-esque DLC travesty of Republican Lite governing it would be a disaster.

"The fact of the matter is Castle has bent over for ever Bush scheme that has come along.."

Indeed. Our pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro affirmative action, pro alternative energy sources, pro gun control, pro stem cell research, pro environment representative who recently lead House opposition to Bush's original torture bill seems pretty timid when it comes to standing up to the Republican majority.

It looks like the huge stinking brown turd know as the republican congressional majority is swirling down the toilet of history.

You better hope the D's win, for your sake. If not, the entirety of Blue America will be on 24-hour suicide watch.

First of all stop saying this becasue it is not true; who recently lead House opposition to Bush's original torture bill

Secondly, look at the close votes. The things you mention are window dressing.

Thirdly - if he is such a great guy why does he refuse to say anything about Iraq or how much Bush has f'ed up ?

ANYTHING.
