This health issue should not obscure the fact that Castle sucks

I think there is a tendency in the human heart and mind to only hold one opinion of someone at a time.

So, I'm worried that Castle "the ill" will crowd Castle "the corrupt" off the political stage. I'll be back blogging about Castle's sweet insider deals with chemical companies next week. In the meantime let's not forget that this illness does not confer any nobility on Mr. Castle while his voting record strips away a great deal of nobility.

Comments:
The Military Commissions Act of 2006, which suspends habeas corpus and legalizes torture, is currently being debated in both houses; GOP leadership is trying to push it to a vote this week.

I sincerely hope Mike Castle is well enough (he IS, isn't he?) to get down to Washington and record his vote.

Otherwise, it looks like Castle is going to face the voters this fall without ever once explaining where he stands on torture and habeas corpus.

I am sure Castle is much too decent to use his illness as an excuse to avoid this critical vote. Unless, God forbid, Castle's condition is much more serious than we have been told.

That's atrocious.

Well, the bill legalizing torture and stripping habeas corpus just passed the House.

Unfortunately, contrary to earlier optimism about Mike Castle's condition, it appears Castle was too ill to participate in this historic vote.

I bet Mike would have voted party line on the torture bill.

Hi does anyone know how to send Mr. Castle an email? I want to ask him about the inquiry into hedge funds that he is launching...

Castle's vote wasn't needed to legalize torture - which means he probably would have been given a pass to vote against it. We'll never know, though. Caesar Rodney is spinning in his grave.

hey, I did not say that!!!!

He meant the "are you shitting me" part.
