Coulter: If Murtha "did get fragged, he'd finally deserve one of those Purple Hearts"

I hate to blog about that Ann Coulter, but I have to ask - what ever happened to the sane conservatives? Where are the conservatives with the dignity and bearing to call her out on this?

Media Matters: Ann Coulter refused to explain -- and even expanded upon -- her recent claim that Rep. John P. Murtha is "the reason soldiers invented fragging," military slang meaning the intentional killing of a member of one's own unit. On a Denver radio show, Coulter referred to her fragging comment as one of her "best lines" and refused to confirm that she was not "suggesting that anybody should off John Murtha," stating only: "It is what it is." On Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, Coulter further expanded upon her statement, asserting that if Murtha "did get fragged, he'd finally deserve one of those Purple Hearts."

Mr Castle....anything...? Anything?

Comments:
If a Democrat said this about a Republican war hero it would be the end of the world. Can you explain the double standard? I'm quite frankly sick of it.

The silence is deafening from the right.

They use troops as stage props, but have utter contempt for anyone they think is who is dumb enough to sign up.

Think about how Hube and Ryan and these types of guys are laughing it up about all the suckers sent to Iraq. It is sickening.

The problem is you keep giving Ann Coulter your attention. It's like oxygen to her. Without either controversy or attention, she has nothing to say. Everything she says has been said by someone else in a more mild, tactful manner.

Dang it! Why did I go and book her on Jay Leno's show? Why did I give her oxygen by publishing her book?

Oh that's right I didn't.

The question is duffy, do you agree with her?

Let me try to equate it for you. What Dana Garrett is to the local left, Coulter is to the national right: All hat, no cattle, and loud to boot.

The right doesn't even claim her anymore. She's like Howard Stern, now. She says more and more outrageous things to sell books.

I don't think the right needs to discredit her. She does it to herself. If we could take a way her license to practice punditry, we would.
