I Need a New Conservative Blog
With the demise of Delathought, (sniff...) I need a new "go to" Delaware conservative blog.
I like Ryan trying to stick with his conservative principles at JTTR, but as today's bumper sticker post show, he slips into the Malkin/Instapundit thoughtless hatefest that is so rampant in the wingnutosphere.
I'd link to rhodey, but Hube's non-stop "I'm not defending them but..." defense of the Bush administration is tiresome. Plus they banned me...so.
Paul Smith Jr....what's up with him? and "blogolution"...does not post very frequently, and when they do it is mostly zingers - noteworthy for their lack of zing.
I guess what I'm looking for is a kind of right-wing version of Delawareliberal. Any suggestions?

BTW -- Rhodey rescinded your "ban" quite a while ago. And the "I'm not defending them..." bit is just lame. It's actually called "debating" and "having a discussion," which, I know, is very tough for ridiculously partisan ideologues like yourself, Scourge.
A right-wing version or ANY other version of DL is not an attractive thought. Mainly b/c there is very little "thought" demonstrated.

As for "serious policy discussion," comparing my site w/this is like comparing a policy think tank with a 4th grade civics class.

jason, have some sympathy; it's tough being a conservative blogger these days.
Sure there are still dittoheads on autopilot who will never stop taking shots at godless effete socialist liberals who hate America. But they are just whistling in the dark now against the tidal wave of bad - SERIOUSLY bad - news coming out of GOP-land lately.
Now I sense a great disturbance in the force, as if a million conservative bloggers were all holding their breath and waiting for some unknown but unmistakable signal that it's OK to begin criticising Bush.
What should conservative bloggers do once it's no longer acceptable to defend Bush at every turn? I suppose they could always retreat to the theoretical libertarian position, in which every argument ends with the assertion that Social Security and Medicare should be ended.

Hey delathought, why don't you just fire up your blog again? I know you are kinda locked in by your own farewell statement, but I think everybody around here would let you off the hook. Just delete the whole damn farewell thread and blog away.
