Fake Moderate Michael Castle Carries Water for BushCo Again
Castle voted to shaft the middle class again and this time they were sneaky about it. It was not in the middle of the night, but the post 5:00pm vote that it was too late to hit the morning papers and by Friday it will be old news.
ALL the Dems, 13 Republicans and the 1 Independent voted against this monstrosity. It passed 216 - 214, so this vote to cut programs like student financial aid in favor of tax cuts for the rich is going to be "Exhibit A" in the trial of Michael Castle.
The House Budget Reconciliation Bill votes are here. I'm looking for better site to link to, because exposing Castle's FRAUDULENCE is going to be my fulltime job for a while.

This unmitigated disaster not only cuts essential programs, it calls for $106 billion in tax cuts over the next five years – with up to $70 billion of these cuts protected under fast-track reconciliation procedures. Despite it's name it will produce a net increase in the deficit. (This should be called the "Chinese Banker's Lifetime Employment Act")

C'mon. He can not believe in the Republican economic program. I mean, I think he is a fraud, but he clearly has a brain. A twisted sycophantic brain, but a brain.
In other words, the CBO is not sure how it's going to affect anyone.
In other words, "trust us". Hmmm.... sounds familiar. In lieu of any progress or the attainment of any goals they set out we hear the constant GOP refrain, "trust us".
What has the Bush cabal accomplished that would allow you to trust them ?
As for me, I trust my eyes, and my eyes see student loans cut by $11.9 billion and Medicare cut by $6.4 billion, etc, etc. But that is not even the sick part. The sick part, is that this whole debacle is all so you can keep your precious tax cut. Well, I hope you enjoy your tax cut with a martini glass in your hand while you survey the smoking ruble that is the American economy. Cheers Dt!

Well that is a surprising and welcome acknowledgement of the republican abuse of power.
As for me "salivating at the chance to stick it to Castle" I would have rather he voted his conscience.

Should the D's assume power Republicans will view everything the they do as revenge or retribution, but in reality there is nothing more irrelevant than a minority in the House. Republican, Democrat it makes no difference.
