Drinking Liberally
I'm thinking that Delaware could use a Drinking Liberally chapter. If you are not familiar with the concept click on the link and let me know what you think.

Well, I don't think I actually did make that claim, A. Although, in the interest of full disclosure, since you've brought it up, I do believe that I am pretty much a regular American.
I'm certainly not a radical leftist, nor am I a right-wing religious zealot, so would I be wrong to say I'm a regular American? I'm conservative, patriotic, peace-loving, compassionate and have the courage of my convictions.
I think my values pretty much correlate to those of the average American. You disagree? How would you classify yourself?

LOL Anonymous. Perhaps. We share the same taste in beer I see. ;)

I don't know. Would Nixonreally qualify as a right-wingnut? In any case, I wasn't referring to polititians of any stripe. I just meant a bunch of right-wing zealots hanging out in a bar, the opposite of a "Drinking Liberally chapter. :)
anyone ever hear that nausiating intro to Hannity's radio show (talk about egotistical!).....and how each right wingnut caller's greeting typically gives the same kudos: you are a great American, Sean"? His single-minded defense of GOPer power is so sick, IMHO Glad to hear you don;t identify yourself with the likes of Sean Hannity, but trinity, you speak like him all the time!!!
do you share the:
courage of a conservative to give tax cuts to wealth while you strip the food from babies on public assistance?
courage of bumping the national debt to heights reminiscent of the Reagan years..who will pay this down?
courage of the highest imbalance of imports to our country, a country founded as much on eceonmic freedom as religious freedoms?

I don't know what you mean by "identify" with Sean Hannity, Nancy. If you mean do I like him? Do I listen to his radio show? And do I agree with much of what he has to say? Yes to all three! He's a proud conservative, and so am I. Why would I deny that? Still, I'm not a right-wing zealot, if that's what you think. Unless that is how you define ALL conservatives.
I would admit to being as partisan as you are though. And I'm not even going to get into a tax cut debate with you because I can tell you buy into the whole class envy thing. There's probably no hope for you. :)
As far as the over spending that's been done by this Republican Congress, you won't ever see me defend that sort of thing, Nancy. And it might surprise you that you wouldn't hear Sean Hannity defend it either. He has spoken out against it very often, and fiscal conservatives have been making their disapproval known to their representatives.
And yes, we do believe in lowering the marginal tax rates, because even JFK understood that doing that generates more tax revenue, and not less. Still, concurrent with that, we must also keep spending under control.
