Santorum Ad full of lies

That is not the surprising part. The surprise is that a TV station did some real politcal reporting and called the lies what they are...lies.

Two things: Notice they reported on the facts and did not feel the need provide fraudulent "balance" by turning this into a "some say...while others say" story.

Also please note that PA Green Party supported Rick Santorum in this race by allowing the GOP to fund a Green Party Candidate and fracture the left of center Democratic/Liberal/Progressive opposition to Santroum.

Comments:
Should be noted here that
said Green Party candidate has boweed out...oh how I wish that Nader had had the balls to have done that...twice.

Spivack On The Attack?

When Democratic Candidate Dennis Spivack makes headlines calling for Congressman Mike Castle
to clean up Washington corruption, you might think, "Ok, fair enough. A Republican got caught with his pants down
this time." So, if Spivack is sincere about cleaning out corruption in D.C, let's hear Spivack name Democrats, too.
Here's a start:
Make public announcements calling for an FBI investigation of Sen. Harry Reid for the thousands of dollars he received from convicted Congressional BagMan Jack Abramoff. Have a press conference in which you call
for an investigation of Rep. John Conyers, detailing his alleged abuse of staff members and forcing them to perform personal tasks while on the taxpayer payroll; you know, the
kind of behavior that has ruined the political careers of previous politicians.
Of course, Reid and Conyers are VERY POWERFUL Democrats, so it might be "politically unhealthy" for a candidate to
campaign on the platform of "real" reform. But if Spivack really cares about cleaning up corruption, here's another
Democrat:

Investigate the alleged $200 million of federal funding channeled by Rep. Alan Mollohan since 1996 to five nonprofit groups created with his support,
many of which funded his political action committee, "Summit PAC."
Rep. Mollohan is.. er, WAS the ranking member of the House ethics committee and a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Oh, yeah, and his personal wealth has jumped to amazing levels, too. Everybody say, "Hmmmm."

Now, how about naming all the Congressional Democrats who took trips paid for by "interested parties" over the past few years, too? You know, the same sort
of thing Tom Delay's accused of doing. Ready? Go! Shout it from Rodney Square! Call the press conference! Call WDEL Radio!
Get it in the News Journal!

Why is so quiet all of a sudden in LeftyLand?

Here's the point: we all know there's corruption among members of both parties. As a candidate, you just embarrass yourself by
pointing to one party as the party of corruption. You enhance your reputation by presenting a record of personal integrity. As much
as Mike Castle is left of center politically, he's consistently been on the right side of the issues
Rick Jensen reprinted from his blog

Ah, the old "everybody does it" defense.

The Reid-Abramoff thing was debunked early on.

I don't understand why Republicans are so afraid to investigate these "powerful Democrats." They took on Clinton and now they are afraid of Reid and Conyers? Maybe it's because they have nothing on them.

Nothing of course, except lies and smears from rightwing radio defending torture, corruption, and pedophiles.

Yes, Democrats are corruptible too, but the conservative philosophy is inherently corrupt.

Ahh I see anon has the evryone does defense eh? That coming from the party of "values" is just precious.

Why is so quiet all of a sudden in LeftyLand?

Stunned amazement?

Schadenfreude?

Unwilling to get in the way when your opponents are self-destructing?

Take your pick.
