Joe Biden: "I don't REALLY want to be President"

I have never thought of Biden's run for the White House as legit. He is a smart guy, so I think he is working some angle. He clearly does not want to be the Democratic nominee, otherwise how do you explain this?

Senate Colleagues to Help Lieberman
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON -- Embattled Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman is getting a little help from his Senate friends as he tries to fend off an anti-Iraq war challenger in an intraparty fight.

Sens. Joe Biden of Delaware, Barbara Boxer of California and Ken Salazar of Colorado plan to campaign in Connecticut for Lieberman between now and the Aug. 8 primary. Their goal is to reassure the party faithful of the three-term senator's loyalty to Democratic causes, including women's issues, labor and the environment.

You simply can't be this clueless and out of touch and be serious about running for President. He is running to be a on the VP short list, or maybe to be the Secretary of State. He is not running for President.

AND NOW THIS CRINGE INDUCING CLIP:

Biden on Indians in DE.

Comments:
Jason - How do you feel about Lamont running a nonunion business?

Apparently, that's starting to hurt him a bit up there. The unions are endorsing Lieberman, and combining their organizational abilities and Joe's incumbency might spell doom for the Kos/Stoller/Lamont campaign.

Whaddya think?

Good ole Joe. As an Indian-American I find that statement stupid and cringe inducing. I am no fan of Biden BTW.

The unions are endorsing Lieberman, and combining their organizational abilities and Joe's incumbency might spell doom for the Kos/Stoller/Lamont campaign.

No one knows that for a fact yet. How about some of the womens groups not endorsing Joe? I think Joe still has a lead although the gap is narrowing. I wonder what the next polls will say. Also primaries esp in the summer are hard to guage, lot of ppl on vacation.
The people for Lamont are clearly motivated, we shall see.
I was in CT (lived there for a long time) a few weeks back. I saw a whole lot of Lamont signs and no Joe Lieberman signs. I have talked to my friends and I don't know anyone who will vote for Joe.
Unscientific but thats what it is.

At this rate, by November name recognition will be a LIABILITY for Beau Biden.

You wrote my mind.....and it is a well-earned liability.

These Bidens just don't know when to shut up for their own good. I just watched the rest of that C-Span clip with the "Dunkin Donut/7-11 Indians" atrocity.....here's another (direct) quote of evolving self-aqgrandizing Biden revisionism :

"I'm the guy who on September 10 [2001]...spoke at the National Press Club predicting 9-11." Really, Joe? What exactly had YOU done about it, Svengali, except blow wind?

Typical, Biden. HE always told you so. But never before the shit hits the fan.

The guy never stops talking, so I bet he could pretty much find something he predicted about any damn thing you want on earth, at one time or another.

I'm curious what his genius has in store for us in the days ahead? Do you predict you'll be President, Joe? Give us enough lead time to spare the country.

Note to the Biden staff : keep your man off of TV when he is in full-on bullshit mode. He comes across as so 'full of malarkey', to use one of his favorite hokeyisms, that I became nauseated to think this is what represents Delaware. They may eat it up with a spoon, in person, when he is grabbing shoulders and raising eyebrows and hugging and kissing and licking....but on TV he looks like a 3rd-rate snake oil salesman. His wild gesticulations make a beer hall Hitler look like a quadraplegic.

For god sakes TONE IT DOWN, SENATOR.

To Beau's credit, so far he doesn't seem to have inherited the logorrhea.

Funny though - granted, I was just using Google, but I couldn't find anything Joe said about the Dobriches or IRSD.
